Venezuela

Venezuela

Condor Verde's first office - where the story started over two decades ago - holds a special place in our hearts. Because beyond the front-page news concerning Venezuela’s political situation lies a lush and welcoming country: one of tropical jungles, diverse wildlife, luscious chocolate, rich coffee, flavorful rum, miles and miles of breathtaking Caribbean shores, remote indigenous tribes, the oldest mountains on earth, the highest waterfall in the world, and the most wonderful people.

Canaima National Park

Here, in Venezuela's remote southeast, is a surreal landscape of pink beaches and black lagoons, where giant waterfalls plunge from the summits of prehistoric table-top mountains called tepuis, formations that harbor some of the most unusual life on earth. This unique region is protected by Parque Nacional Canaima, covering an area the size of Belgium. The park is home to the mighty Roraima mountain, and Angel Falls, the highest waterfall in the world.

Archipelago Los Roques

Few places are as remote, romantic, and idyllic as Los Roques! An archipelago composed of 350 tiny islands sprinkled in the crystal-clear waters of the Caribbean, Los Roques is a 30-minute flight north from Caracas. Only one of those islands, Gran Roque, boasts a bona fide town, tiny as it is, with a handful of posadas ranging from rustic to elegant. The coral reefs here are home to more than 300 species of fish.

Orinoco Delta

The Orinoco Delta is a vast labyrinth of waterways weaving through a dense jungle to carry the waters of the Orinoco to the Atlantic Ocean.
The wonderful Warao Indians are the native inhabitants of the Delta. Family groups reside in palafitos (wooden houses raised on stilts) along the banks of the river.

Margarita Island

Venezuelans are enormously fond of the island they call the Perla del Caribe. Its status as a duty-free port and its proximity to the mainland make it the top vacation spot for Venezuelans. Come here for fun in the sun!
El Yaque is one of the best windsurfing and kitesurfing beaches in the world.
